Each code is checked for the UN/LOCODE structure (2-letter ISO country + 3-character location) and resolved against the official UNECE UN/LOCODE dataset (public domain). Functions are decoded from the official 8-position classifier (port, rail, road, airport, postal, multimodal, fixed transport, border crossing). A code that is well-formed but not in the current UNECE list is marked "invalid — not found", never guessed; if the dataset is momentarily unavailable a row is marked "unverifiable", never "invalid". Data reflects the latest UNECE issue at the time of the check. Your uploaded list is processed on the fly and is not stored on our servers. Liability is limited to the fee paid.
